Forgetfulness or Procrastination…. Hmmm

Which is it that most happens? The former or the latter?

I find it is both which plague my actions.

As I increase in years, (ugh… how I miss my youth) there are many things which have begun to slip my mind: date, time, year, children’s names, my name, how old I am. Okay, maybe not that bad, yet. Nothing is worse than forgetting something like not renewing your driver’s license! Yes, I had that happen to me. I will be among the many who will need to actually go down and redo everything. I do believe. I am overjoyed by the prospect.

Of course, had I renewed when I first remembered… I would not have gone through what I will soon be going through. I remembered a full five months in advance! But as a professional procrastinator, I felt no need to rush. *sigh*  Such is the life of me.

BUT, I refuse to stay on the negative aspect of today… which was finding out my license was expired and seeing the good. I will be getting  new phone! Hooray for me! Of course, it is only because I have been without a phone for over a week, since it has chosen to slowly die. No amount of Phone ER helped.

Perhaps my new phone will bring me joy as I wait my turn at the license place.

Only time will tell.

So I leave you now with a song I enjoy… about time.

“Time After Time”
Lyrics provided by AZ Lyrics

Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick,
And think of you
Caught up in circles confusion –
Is nothing new
Flashback – warm nights –
Almost left behind
Suitcases of memories,
Time after –

Sometimes you picture me –
I’m walking too far ahead
You’re calling to me, I can’t hear
What you’ve said –
Then you say – go slow –
I fall behind –
The second hand unwinds

If you’re lost you can look – and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you – I’ll be waiting
Time after time

After my picture fades and darkness has
Turned to gray
Watching through windows – you’re wondering
If I’m OK
Secrets stolen from deep inside
The drum beats out of time –

If you’re lost…

You said go slow –
I fall behind
The second hand unwinds –

If you’re lost…
…Time after time
Time after time
Time after time
Time after time
